About Naoki

Naoki is a Senior Vice President at JLL Hotels & Hospitality. The services he covers range from investment sales, advisory, valuation, and other related activities in Japan.

Experience
Since joining the firm in November 2013 as an Associate, Naoki has been playing a key role on various transactions of full-service hotels, including The Westin Tokyo, Hoshino Resorts Tomamu, as well as Hilton Tokyo Odaiba. With 7 years of experience in selling hotels, Naoki has conducted USD 2 billion in hotel transactions to date across Japan. Naoki has also been in charge of numerous operator selections and contract negotiations for Hyatt Place Tokyo Bay, Hilton Tokyo Odaiba, as well as an international five-star hotel in Tokyo scheduled to open in a few years.

Details for major conducted assignments include:
– Investment sale of The Westin Tokyo, which was rare disposal for a Tokyo full-service luxury hotel. Sold to a first-time offshore buyer.
– Investment sale of Hoshino Resort Tomamu including four hotel towers, one golf course, one ski mountain, and other amenity facilities such as indoor swimming pool and dozens of restaurant outlets. Sold to an offshore buyer.
– Operator selection of a hotel in Tokyo which was the first case of an operator change from a domestic operator to an international operator for a Tokyo full-service hotel under management agreement.

Prior to joining the firm, Naoki worked in the Acquisition Finance division of Mizuho Bank, Ltd., where Naoki was responsible for limited partnership investments for private equity funds and monitoring non-recourse lending.

Qualifications
Naoki holds a bachelor degree in International Liberal Studies from Waseda University, Tokyo. He is a licensed real estate transaction supervisor.
