Following a thorough campaign by JLL and overseen by Pitcher Partners, 63-69 City Road, Southbank has been acquired by Thundering Herd.
It is intended that BrickX, a wholly owned subsidiary, will develop the site and offer its investors the opportunity to participate in the Project on the BrickX Platform. The Chair of Thundering Herd Benni Aroni who led teams developing neighbouring Southbank sites Eureka Tower and A108 will lead the BrickX development team. BrickX is excited by the development opportunity that 63-69 City Road, Southbank presents in what is one of the last vacant sites in Southbank.
63-69 City Road, Southbank is an exceptional dual fronted landholding positioned within the heart of Melbourne’s famed arts precinct.
Permit approved for a 30-level building, the site sets an exceptional height precedent for a future redevelopment project. The current permit allows for a GFA of 15,712sqm, catering for many large-scale development opportunities that are in consistent demand. The site’s flexible Capital City zoning lends itself to a number of future uses, suiting residential, hotel, co-living, build-to-rent and office development projects.
