The Holiday Inn Rotorua is a 203 room, 4+ rated hotel located on more than one hectare of land adjoining the Whakarewarea Maori Village and Geothermal Park. Facilities include large-scale function and meeting facilities, a bar and restaurant, geothermally heated pool and spa, a gymnasium and parking for approximately 120 vehicles. Constructed in phases from the 1960s, the hotel has been extensively extended and refurbished over time.
The hotel was acquired in late 2019 by New Zealand Hotel Holdings, a joint venture partnership between the New Zealand Super Fund and the Russell & Lockwood Group of Companies. At the date of sale, the hotel was subject to a management agreement with IHG with vacant possession available on sale.
