Lakes Lodge was recently marketed internationally under a Tender campaign and sold to a local investor. The property whilst iconic is also historic dating back to the early 1900s and has only ever been sold four times, it is the only dwelling on the entire lake as the balance of the land is owned by Department of Conservation. Whilst a relatively small investment the lodge capacity is licensed for 130 guests.
