About Jon

Jon joined Savills Japan in February 2011 and offers significant experience dealing with international clients active in the Japan market.

He worked for four years at Chuo Mitsui Trust Bank (now Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank) as the only foreigner in the real estate sales and asset management businesses.

Jon’s experience includes representing US, European, and Asian investors on buy- and sell-side mandates, asset management platforms, and strategic investment fund planning.

In 2011, Jon co-authored and published the book, The Fundamentals of Japanese Real Estate, with a colleague from Chuo Mitsui, which is available in all major bookstores in Japan and is used as reference material for a number of university courses in the country.

Jon has executed over US$ 12 billion in transactions since 2006 in institutional grade assets, buy-side and sell-side exclusive mandates, and forward-commitment development projects.
