About Charlie

Based in Tokyo, Charlie is responsible for leading investment sales assignments across the APAC region, with a particular geographic focus on Japan, the Indian Ocean and South East Asia.

Experience & Education
Charlie joined the JLL graduate scheme, based in London, in 2011 and spent the subsequent 6 years specializing in the disposal and acquisition of hotel single assets, portfolios and development opportunities across Europe. Since joining the Asia team in January 2018, Charlie has led several successful transaction assignments across the region including:

– Sale of Kanuhura Maldives to HPL for $41.5m in May 2021
– Sale of Somerset Azabu East Tokyo for c.$56m in December 2020
– Sale of Kyoto Boutique Hotel for c.$37m to Park Hotel Group and Apricot Capital in December 2020
– Sale of Finolhu Maldives to Seaside Hotels & Resorts for $85m in April 2019. This deal represented JLL’s first sale of a Maldives resort to a European buyer

A graduate of the University of Reading, Charlie holds a first class BSc (Hons) in Real Estate Investment and Finance. He is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, having qualified in the UK.
