Current Responsibilities

Mike is Chairman of JLL’s Hotels & Hospitality Group in Asia Pacific with responsibility for seven countries and territories, including Australia, and provide clients with access to the Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands hospitality markets. He serves as a Board Member of JLL’s Hotels & Hospitality Group globally.

Experience

Mike’s real estate career commenced in 1987 in the areas of residential and commercial property before moving into the specialised area of hotel and tourism property in 1991 before joining Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels in 1993. With nearly 27 years of experience in negotiations and sales of hotels and hospitality property (now exceeding $7 billion in value), Mike is considered one of the most experienced hospitality real estate advisors in the Asia Pacific region.

Prior to his 12 years in Asia, Mike was the Managing Director, Investment Sales, Australasia before moving to Singapore in early 2008 to lead and expand the Group’s Investment Sales business across the wider Asian region. Since moving to Asia, Mike has lead teams on numerous key transactions around the region, including the Crowne Plaza Changi Airport Singapore, Laguna Beach Resort Phuket, Grand Park Orchard Hotel Singapore, the Andaz Singapore, Grand Hyatt Seoul and InterContinental Hong Kong, Asia Pacific’s largest single-asset transaction on record.
