Wayne Bunz is the National Director of CBRE Hotels Capital Markets investment and brokerage team for Queensland.

Wayne specialises in the sale of all asset classes within the hospitality industry, with a core focus is the 4- and 5-star hotel market. Wayne boasts in excess of 35 years of experience in the hospitality industry having trained with the world-renowned Hyatt Hotels group. He spent 9 years at Jones Lang LaSalle as a Senior Vice President before moving over to CBRE Hotels in 2011. In his 16 years experience as a hotel broker Wayne has sold in excess of $5 billion in hospitality assets.

Recent sales include the sale of the The Fantauzzo Brisbane, Bower Byron Bay, Byron At Byron, Ibis Styles Brisbane, Emporium Hotel Brisbane, the Ibis and Mercure Brisbane sale to a German Pension Fund, and introduced the GA Group to Australia who have invested more than $500 million into the far north Queensland region.

Wayne has also won a number of awards including; RICS Real Estate Agency of the Year –CBRE Hotels 2019, REIQ Commercial Agent of the Year 2013, REIA Commercial Agent of the Year 2013, CBRE State Senior Managing Director Award 2013 and CBRE Most Successful Agent for Queensland Award 2012.
