TFE Hotels Launches Adina Serviced Apartments in Europe.
Australian based TFE Hotels has expanded its European footprint with the launch of the 131-key Adina Serviced Apartments Vienna late last week.
The serviced apartment-style property is the second of three openings for the Australian hotel brand in the Austrian capital, following Adina Apartment Hotel Vienna Belvedere in 2021, and ahead of a brand-new 108-room property in the prestigious DANUBEFLATS – Austria’s tallest new residential tower – which will open next year.
Boasting spacious rooms with kitchenettes, modern co-working spaces, a gym and the DGNB Platinum certification – the highest sustainability certification in Germany and Austria – Adina Serviced Apartments Vienna will build on the success of the Adina brand globally, following successful openings in Singapore, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, and Australia over the past 18 months. The hotel is also one of seven new Adinas to open across Europe since the beginning of 2021, with more in the development pipeline.
TFE Hotels’ Chief Executive Officer, Antony Ritch said that, as with all Adina properties, guests could expect Australian hospitality and spacious apartments that provide a home away from home.
“The serviced apartment model operates a little differently to the standard Adina Hotel,” he said. “Our guests have access to the spacious, self-contained apartments and the Adina style of hospitality, with serviced apartments typically offering a range of self-serve facilities and on-call services in place of traditional hotel amenities like onsite restaurants.
“Serviced apartments & apartment hotels currently represent a relatively low percentage of the hotel stock in Vienna and the hotel living model is certainly an attractive investment option for investors across the globe,” he said. “With this in mind, the Adina Serviced Apartment model is the perfect extension to our portfolio and strategically important to our continued growth across Europe.”
Ritch said, with the opening of the Vienna Danubeflats property in 2024, TFE was on target to establish a full range of hotel options in Vienna. “The apartment hotel model holds wide appeal for business and leisure travellers and its versatility makes it an attractive proposition for investors and owners,” he said. With that in mind, our global development team are currently exploring options across the Pacific, Europe, and Asia”
The Adina Serviced Apartment Vienna is superbly located adjacent to Vienna Central Station and well serviced by tram and subway connections to the old town; commuter trains to all Viennese districts; a 15-minute train transfer to Vienna airport; and long-distance trains to Budapest, South-Eastern Europe, Italy, Salzburg, and Munich. For leisure guests, Vienna’s third biggest tourist attraction, Belvedere Palace, is just a short walk from the hotel, as are the Museum of Military History, Vienna State Opera, Hofburg Imperial Palace, Stephansplatz, Prater and the Vienna Christmas Market.
