Rare Gold Coast Hinterland Residential and Tourism Development up for Sale
Gold Coast – March 14, 2022 – A significant Gold Coast Hinterland site at Beechmont has been listed for sale, providing a rare opportunity to develop up to 200 residential and tourism dwellings adjacent to the World Heritage-listed Lamington National Park
CBRE Gold Coast Managing Director Mark Witheriff and Associate Director Daniel Doran have been appointed to steer the sale campaign for the 618 Binna Burra Road land parcel, with Alex McMahon of AJ Mac Strategic Solutions acting as transaction advisor on behalf of the vendors.
The 89ha land parcel features approximately 76ha of rainforest on the renowned Binna Burra plateau.
“This is a true once-in-a-generation development opportunity, providing an opportunity to secure an approved development site that will likely never be available again,” CBRE’s Mr Witheriff said.
“The ability to build up to 200 residential and tourism dwellings at the edge of the Binna Burra escarpment, overlooking 76ha of rainforest, will generate significant interest from property developers, lifestyle, rural retreat buyers, environmental groups and the eco-tourism industry.”
The sit abuts the 21,176ha Lamington National Park, which features extensive walking tracks along the McPherson Range allowing visitors to explore the area’s forests, creeks and waterfalls.
CBRE’s Mr Doran noted that the area’s Scenic Rim had won a place on the Lonely Planet’s Top 10 regions to visit in 2022, with the nearby Binna Burra Lodge recognised as a Queensland leader in nature-based tourism.
