Savills provided sell-side advice to the client, Macdonald Hotels on the sale of the Macdonald Holyrood Hotel, a prominent eight storey hotel situated in a prime location in the historic Old Town of Edinburgh city centre, adjacent to the Scottish Parliament building.
The property comprises an upscale 157-bedroom hotel, AA rosette restaurant and lounge bar, extensive conference and event facilities, and luxury spa and leisure club.
Following significant interest from both domestic and international investors, Savills completed the sale of the property in November 2021 to the UK-based private equity firm, Zetland Capital Partners LLP, along with JV and hotel management partner, Hamilton Hotel Partners.
