Zetland Capital Partners LLP, a London based private equity firm has acquired the 338-bedroom Macdonald Manchester Hotel.
The long leasehold hotel, which is located close to Manchester Piccadilly station, includes a AA rosette restaurant, lounge bar, extensive conference and event facilities, a luxury spa and leisure club and an adjacent car park.
The acquisition was part of a two hotel deal which included the 156-bedroom Macdonald Holyrood Hotel.
The hotels will be managed by Zetland’s JV partner, Hamilton Hotel Partners.
The sale was handled by Rob Stapleton of Savills.
