Steven Fyfe from Savills acted on behalf of owner – operator Roxburghe Estates on the sale of the country house estate extending to c. 292 acres comprising upscale 22-bedroom hotel, extensive conference and event facilities, health and beauty suite, and 18-hole championship golf course.
Following significant interest from both domestic and international investors, the property was sold in April 2018 for £3.8 million to the German-based developer and hotel operator, 12.18 Investment Management.
The new owner reopened in 2019 as SCHLOSS Roxburghe Hotel & Golf Course, with plans for an extensive c. £30 million redevelopment to provide additional rooms, lodges, luxury spa and additional meeting space.
